on another note about the wallet that comes with the Ronin. it would've been a lot cooler if that wallet was deigned to hold a few cards and cash.

The wood on mine is a LOT darker than what the marketing pics showed. I think I would have preferred lighter wood, but I don't mind too much. The wood is so dark that it almost blends in with the black of the iPhone.

those pics are nice. with that warm lighting you have, your pics look like some of Element's promo pics.

so, how are you liking it? what reactions are you getting? how do you like the wallet?

Even though I currently own two Sector 5 cases, if Element offered a chromed Sector 5 with maybe the links they used for Black Ops I would fall all over myself ordering it. I wouldn't think twice and I think there would be many others doing the same. The Ronin has chrome but I just don't see wood on a high tech object.

I wish they would respond, whether or not they have plans for this in the near future?

funny you say you don't see wood & chrome on a high tech object...I would consider cars and audio as high tech....luxury cars and home audio uses the combination all the time. I believe I read that the Ronin has a nickel plated frame, not chrome. Nickel has a more yellow/warm tint to it.

I meant to say "for me" wood isn't what i want. My car a Nissan 350z and my electronics don't have wooden components. It's personal choice, enjoy your wood. Thanks for correcting the chrome /nickel issue. I do prefer a warm silver tint.

they could substitute black composite for the wood parts, I'd be happier.

at one point in time...most high-end home audio equipment had finely crafted wood and shiny or machined metal of some sort for controls...my bro's C500 Benz has nothing but chrome and high gloss burl wood dash/trim on the inside...most sports cars like your 350 would never have wood..it's not a luxury vehicle per se. Take the Audi R8...chrome and carbon fiber...Audi S8 has chrome and wood.

in the end..chrome or nickel & wood seems to work for a luxury cell phone case

I know, I know, all you say is right. I remember when a high end TV was a large wooden console. Historically wood suggested luxury. I guess I shouldn't have expressed my own personal preference. it was irrelevant. I do feel that others may feel the same way and hesitate to buy the Ronin because they don't want wood on their phone.

So I managed to get mine in. I took a few pictures so we all can see what it looks like on a White iPhone.. Sorry the pictures of it on the phone aren't that great, I'll try taking some more later on with a better camera if I do get a chance.

Looks pretty decent. Since you've had it for several days now, how are you liking it with your white iPhone?

To be honest, I actually returned it and ordered myself a Sector 5! It looked VERY nice though! I really liked it.. But I don't know, it was such a delicate case that there were some things that were bothering me.. The top volume button didn't feel much like a button like the bottom one.. There were some gaps and I could see the phone as an example from the rear through the backplate. Very minimally though, not really noticeable. I guess those were issues with the tightening, you'd have to remove the top two screws unlike one for the Sector 5! But really beautiful case. Maybe they can come out with a different type of iPhone 5 case within 30 days and I can exchange the Sector 5 for that..
