It seems like it to me. Has anybody else tested this out on their phones? What have your personal experiences been using these two apps in terms of data and battery consumption?

Does Google Maps on iPhone consume more data and battery life than Apple Maps?

Another wrinkle - with offline maps with Google, you will have no data consumption. Dont know about battery usage but the offline maps might impact the decision?
Google Maps would be killer if it had lock screen integration, like Apple Maps. That's all I ask for 🙁
