I bought 2 of these (way overkill -- 1 is enough plus the original 8gb! ) and the ram runs at full speed with 10-10-10:

But wich is the difference from installing a CL11 or CL9?

I haven't actually seen any speed tests comparing usage using RAM with faster latency. In theory things should run faster, but I suspect the difference is negligible, and won't be noticed in actual usage. (Again, so long as you aren't mixing RAM with different CL values)

How long did it take you to receive your RAM from Crucial, for your late 2012 27" iMac? I ordered last Saturday, via free shipping, and haven't received it yet. Also, were you able to track your shipping via Mail Innovations? I am unable to track using the info Crucial gave me.

I ordered from Crucial on Dec 27th and received the RAM on Jan 4th.

That depends on the type/model of the RAM. In my opinion, you should be more concerned with compatibility, reliability, and warranty.

what are you saying?!?!?
there are no differences between mac and pc rams, this is broscience!

must be a ddr3 1600mhz and that's it. I'm just looking for the fastest one.

CAS latency, or CL timing

Corsair vengence does, but Corsair makes other models:
This one is 11-11-11-30

wait.. isn't better a lower cas timing?

I saw that the only cl9 is the hyperx kingston.. but does it worth 40$ more than the others cl10?
