Studio Display Prevents Mac from Sleeping

I have a G4 Cube, and it's Studio Display seems to be preventing it from going to sleep. It goes to sleep when the display is not connected and when I use a different display (the other display is not a Studio Display.) When I try to put it to sleep, it immediately wakes back up. Also, I'm not sure that this could cause the problem, but perhaps the broken USB ports on the back of the display somehow affect the computer? Is there a way to somehow allow the computer to go to sleep again? Thanks!

Bring up the console. When my DP 1.8 did the same, I got a lot of messages stating "overactive network on interface en0". If you could quote and disable smilies, that would help.

I was a bit confused by your reply? Do you mean typing in a command in the Terminal? If so, which command should I use?

Console is an app in your Utilities folder.

Ok, I opened console, and I think this message may have something to do with it: Repeated transitions for interface lo0
I don't know what this means, but hopefully someone else does?

First, do it in right way:

Open console, then click Show Log List. Click system.log. Put your Cube to sleep. If it will wake up, check what has recorded in this log. You should see System Sleep and System Wake. Post first line after System Wake (if you're running 10.4) or lines between System Sleep and System Wake (if you're on 10.5) here.

Yep, that's USB. You can try an app called Please Sleep, but if it won't work, you need to physically disconnect broken USB ports from you display.

NP, if it's LCD one, you need to disconnect one plug from display mainboard: http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repairin...SB+Port/1798/1
