Frustrating night for Walcott; he spent most of his time checking back because the rest of the team were too slow spotting him/passing to him, and Fantaandcola kept pinching his space.

Worrying gameweek for us saps without Manchester City cover.

Monday night had a big affect on our fantasy fortunes, as Santi played Santa a week early and delivered gift-wrapped points to his managers in the form of three goals, an assist and a bonus as Arsenal routed Reading.

The Christmas and New Year period is not only a busy one for the Premier League – our competitions see deadlines and Gameweeks coming in thick and fast. I'll post a full set of festive fixtures and deadlines separately to make sure no one's caught out. 🙂
 
As I mentioned in my previous post, the Gameweeks are packed in over Christmas and the New Year so I thought it might be useful to share all the festive fixtures now, as I'm likely to be off doing family stuff and MacRumors pitch inspections over the next couple of weeks.

My team is having discipline issues. 5 guys got yellow cards. We're gonna have to have a talk.

The red arrows are rampant! Stoplights are in a downward spiral. Need the transfer window to right this ship. Unfortunately gotta stick with this team for the next GW. 🙁

The Manager of the Month curse strikes again! 😱

It looks like November's award brought ill fortune your way – and I imagine that pjlander will now be surrounding himself with good luck charms and the like, as it's his Fightin' Shrooms who have earned him December's MacRumors Manager of the Month Award, with a splendid points total of 347 for the month.

After a very impressive first half to the season for the Mopheads, I'm doing far better than I was at this point last season. I have played my wildcard, hopefully not prematurely, so bring on 2013! Am more confident in my cup abilities this time around than the league at this point.

I'm utterly clueless when to play my WC this time. 😕

January me thinks...

On a b-note: is anyone around here playing some sort of Fifa/PEStype of game with his or her squad? I'm not, but it was quite some fun when I did it some years ago...wasn't FantasyLeague though.
 
I'd wait until the January transfers are out the way

Edit: Sorry, I mean you should play your wildcard now! Here's a list of who's currently doing well at the moment. It's colour coded to make things easier, showing who's 'hot'.

Don't forget that your January wildcard can only be used up until the end of Gameweek 24, 11.30am on 2 February.

But should you use it this week or hold onto it? Perhaps a peruse of the upcoming Gameweek's Cup fixtures may influence your thinking...
