It's stunning, IMHO.... At least 450 HP and 450 lb.-ft of torque from the 5th gen Small Block V8, 7 speed manual, 26 MPG+ on the highway, 99 lb. lighter than the outgoing model, etc.

I think it's amazing. Brings back memories of my '79. And yes, there are a lot of lines on it, but they all have really sexy ways of curving and dipping. I want one.

That thing is sexy as hell. I wish I were rich. :(

Too bad they are made in Kentucky. :p
Heh, Ok Detroit needs to design more cars like this.

----------

Don't like.

The back looks like the camaro.
Too many edges.
Needs less lines, it needs to flow- this doesn't.
I see plenty of flow and curves, not sure what you are looking at.

I like the front, not the back.

Back feels too....boxy? I don't even know how to describe it. I much prefer the older generation's looks.

I'm a rolling stone.
Not too bad for an American Car, but the BUM just does not match, it probably also drives like crap, European cars are still much better than so called American super cars.

The Corvette handles very well. Someone doesn't follow the latest car news..... The Corvette has been good around the corners since the C5 and the C6 upped it to another level. The Corvette isn't a muscle car anymore. It is a sports car. The regular 'Vette, Z06, and ZR1 can hang with the best of European sports cars.

If you take Top Gear as a serious source for car reviews, than you are on some good stuff. :p Top Gear is entertainment only....

Here is a good video about the new 'Vette. Some very cool features that went into this thing like the vents on the side that let air in to cool the transmission/differential and vent out the back.....

And looking at it more, the more I love it. It makes the C6 look like trash.....

Chevrolet nailed it right on the head with this one. Its absolutly stunning, from the front to the back I have nothing negitive to say about it. Its also nice to see the "Sting Ray" name back.

I love it :D it's a pity we won't see many of them chugging around the streets of the UK though and i think that will mainly be down to the fact that it would cost too much to run! especially with the price of our petrol :(

totally cool
I think it looks great. Cool mix of angles and curves. Can't wait to see these on the road. We'll probably hit the autoshow this weekend and see it in person.

Its ugly, over designed with far to many angles and lines. Also it only gets 450bhp from 6.2L...

Oh here we go with the stupid HP/L crap.....

I'm sick of it. Unless you live in a country that is taxed by displacement, you should not give one crap about an engines displacement( and I believe Australia doesn't have a tax on displacement correct me if I am wrong).

There are pros and cons to OHV( which the LT1 is) and DOHC. Yes with a DOHC engine, you can get more HP out of a smaller displacement. But, there are more moving parts( more to go wrong) and harder to package because they tend to be physically bigger. OHV engines do need a bigger displacement to make the same power, but less moving parts and are easier to package because they tend to be physically compact.

Seen here is Ford's now old 4.6 liter DOHC V8 vs the older 5.0 OHV V8 the 4.6 replaced. While the 4.6 is smaller in displacement, it is quite a bit physically bigger.

And with the Chevy Small Block V8, the LS3 and LS7 are physically the same size despite the LS3 being 6.2 liters and the LS7 being 7.0 liters. As long as the LT1 is powerful( the 450 HP rating is not final yet), has a good power band, fuel efficient, etc, then the displacement is irrelevant.
