iTunes, Apple TV3, Bandwidth Cap?

So I'm loving our new ATV3... planning on getting AT LEAST one more, probably 2...

Anyway, I noticed that when streaming movies from my iMac to the ATV3, it seems the network output never goes above about 5.5 MB/sec(Data Output in Activity Monitor). However, when I stream the same Movie(Casino Royale) from Plex Media Server to my PS3, the Data Output averages around 15 MB/sec and jumps up to 30 at times. The 'total bitrate' in iTunes reports at 11,248 kbps.

So what gives here? Does iTunes cap the data output? What is happening here?
