Hello, I am trying to run a jarfile from terminal (because it won't launch normally by itself), and was wondering how to give permission to terminal to access my .jar file.

Place sudo before the command.

Can you post the command you are trying to run?
Instead of placing your computers below every post, you should make a signature- go to the User CP, right below the "Front Page" button.
