DSLR?..........think........more expensive......"cinematic" if you will.

They shot the commercial on film with a $250,000 camera.

The whole commercial took 3 full days of shooting.

Thanks. I had a 2004 Forester XT Auto before. That was involved in a horrific crash back in December when we were rear ended on the highway, and sent flipping over to the other side. Glad to be alive after that. I went out once I got the insurance payout for the car and bought an identical replacement.

This is my car now. 2005 Forester XT Turbo 5-Speed:

This was my old car back in December. A 2004 Forester XT Automatic. Car saved my life, as well as both of my friends who were in it. I badly want to do another commercial for Subaru showcasing their safety.

...although, everyone I know who's had Subies has had trouble with the drivetrains. Trannies and powerplant type stuff. On one car it got so bad that Subaru (the company, not the dealer) just gave them a new car. Great customer service in that experience, but still... :/

I usually tend to not like a lot of vehicle commercials but these Subaru ads are different because they show real life experiences. Congrats Josh, you are a lucky man! This was a beautifully shot commercial

Great job man. It may just be me but the commercial had a very Apple feel to it. Maybe the narration with a point to it. A little life story ya know. You should narrate Apple commercials? You have the voice for it!

I enjoyed this commercial! I think it's cool how Subaru reaches out to actual customers to be in the commercials! Now if only Subaru would do a hooning commercial I'd fill that role with my Sti.
