Ripping 3D blu-ray suitable for ATV.

Hello

Managed to get hold of a blu-ray drive from eBay for under 20 last week and been having a play trying to replicate what handbrake does for DVD's.

Been reading around on forums etc but haven't found a definitive solution for ripping a blu-ray for 3d viewing.

Am I right in thinking I need to rip into a .mkv and then use handbrake (or subler) to convert into an .mp4 for iTunes? I have had some success using DVDFab, but the output played rather jumpy in iTunes and on the ATV, although the 3D did work when switched on on the TV. Also DVDFab seems to only work about 1 in 5 times, it will randomly crash during the conversion.

I have also tried MakeMKV but it appears to lose the SBS image.

Does anyone have a good procedure for ripping 3D and 2D blu-rays?
