That's actually a pretty good deal, because you can buy Office 2011 now, and upgrade it to Office 365 for free for a year (when it becomes available);

Checkout the Home Use Program. I got Office through that for £8.95. Check if your employer is in the scheme.

Do you get a disk copy of it? Also my job said if I quit I am suppose to delete it from my computer but how can they really control that. I was thinking of buying it to have a legit copy of it especially as it's only 10 bucks. I just don't like the idea of paying for software that isn't really mine.

Also it the home use liscense says 1 computer but most programs are you can put them on as many computers as you want but only 1 person can use it at a time. That's how i have the CS6, and iWork software.

It's a bit extra if you want a disk. I downloaded it, then burnt it.

This is a great option if you have it available. The DVD was a $12 option for me. I got Office 2011 for Mac for $21.95 Shipped!!

A good deal if you want Office 2011 (which is a good piece of software). Not a good deal if you go to Office 365, which means you will never stop paying Microsoft.

Well you will always have office 2011, so if 365 is not your thing you cancel it after a year.

Well, I guess my point is, you get one free year of 365 to at least try it out. It is good for up to five computers. There are probably people for whom paying $99 a year for Office on up to 5 machines is actually not that bad of a deal.

Be aware that Outlook for Mac CAN'T import e-mail or MBOX from Mail on Lion or Mountain Lion. You'll have to either do it manually, or get a third party utility to do this for you.

Microslop advised long ago that they weren't going to fix this problem.
