How to resume App Store downloads

I had quite of a number of apps doing downloads in the App Store to my iPhone. They appear to have stopped and are just saying "waiting" but nothing happening. Ive tried a forced restart [sleep and home buttons] and attaching to my iMac to sync....nothing.

You should just be able to tap them to resume downloading.

Doesn't seem to, but there's a lot of them. Im trying a restore.
