Stop ML from displaying Facebook birthday alerts?

Hi, I have mountain lion and I like the facebook integration feature cos I want my contact details to be updated with pictures and other information. But the birthday notifier has become a real problem now. I get notification in ML all the time and it is really annoying. Can we configure what ML grabs from FB and what it shouldn't ?

Settings --> Accounts --> Facebook

There you can activate / deactivate the "Contacts" sync ...

The previous answer was for iOS. The original post inquired about ML or Mountain Lion (MAC).

To stop the annoying facebook reminders, do the following:

Click on System Preference
Click on Mail, Contacts and Calendars (under Internet and Wireless section)
Click on Facebook (on left)
Uncheck the Contacts box in the right or center area.
Click Red X to close
