there are a few members very active in answering all the questions and problems, it helps them not having to retype the same stuff over and over again.

They still need to update to 6.1 if they want blobs unless they did before 6.1 release

Nope, you can get blobs for 6.1 even when not on 6.1

Correct ^^

Firmware version on your device is irrelevant to being able to save currently signed SHSH

So if I did the OTA to 6.1 I can save the 6.1 blobs just by downloading 6.1 to my mac and not having to restore my device?

I'm glad they FINALLY clarified this. It's better to be on latest firmware though, no?

Always stay as low as possible UNTIL a untethered JB is available. I went to 6.1 yesterday on my 4S (stock anyway due replacement) my iPad2 is still on 5.1.1 JBen. Have SHSH's for both on 6.01 and 6.1

Thumbs up

Nice info.
Glad they will cover multiple iOS builds with the next jailbreak.

Don't think so, that would solve the downgrade problem.

I dont know if I would call this a new thread, it is about a given topic, but it is important information that can easily get lost in the thread about a jailbreak being on 6.02 or that planet has good news....I think this was a good thing to get its own thread. The other threads can deal with speculation of the release date

They just seemed like they had good news regarding "the future of jailbreaking", I probably read into that too much assuming that could mean a boot rom jailbreak.

They seem more excited than usual.

I like the way that sounds.
It would be sweet if they got a bootrom exploit even if that means tethered JB's for life

Yup! If not bootrom, maybe an exploit that leads to many more.
