Does anyone use this? I have just installed it on my iMac as I tend to use it pretty late at night most of the time. Screen adjustment is nice and smooth i have it set on the 'halogen' setting for night time, and its not bad...takes a bit of getting use too though.

Just wondering if anyone else had used this before and what were their thoughts.

So I am confused as to what this does.. it changes the color tones of your display's profile? or auto adjusts the brightness based on the time of day?

I use it. It adjusts the temperature of your display as the sun goes down so that it does not produce cold blue light after dusk. You can set the temperature to which you'd like it to go down to. You also provide your location so that it can determine when the sun sets for you.

Oh my god, I installed it earlier today, and yes, it's a bit weird, but it's great. If you like working on the computer at really early hours of the morning, get it. Opened my MacBook Pro up for sleep just a few minutes ago... It's usually a blinding experience because it's so bright, like being woken up by the sunlight. But if you do it with f.lux enabled, you don't get that irritation in your eyes.

You get used to your screen having a weird tint too, it's nice and warm. I mean, you probably couldn't edit photography using this once it kicked in, but for writing and browsing, it's good.

I've been using it for at least a year on both my MBP 17" and my JB'n iDevices. Absolutely great, couldn't imaging my life without it. Goodbye sleepless nights because of the blue backlight:

WOW! Good to know I'm not the only f.lux fan. :D its awesome isnt it...completely rubbish for photo editing. But when surfing, or typing up some code its awesome. Can sit in front of my computer for hours at night and not get eye strain.

What settings does everyone use? I mainly use Halogen the others seem just too orange, are they worth trying out?

Hahahaha, totally know what you mean. But that's why it's easy to turn off when you need to do some editing when it kicks in.

I use Halogen too, the best IMO.

I wish I could get this for my Android phone.

I love it. I don't use the presets though. It works best to just set it at night to the lighting you have in your room. Next just let it automatically switch from here to there.
I think it is great for late night work.
