I do not think that is a bandwidth issue as much as a hardware issue to encode and pass the data along.

For video I would look into beamer.app. Working very well for me. I was very tured off for AP mirroring when I used online video. I do NOT sell the product personally. :P

I really don't care about a hardware refresh unless they are going to open up the Apple TV to apps and the App Store. As a guy that has tested out the Sony Google TV and Roku 2 XS recently, I will say that I much prefer the Apple TV. However, I think the ATV really needs to have 3rd party apps to keep up with other devices.
