iMac G5 "17 ALS will not boot

Finally my "17 ALS iMac gave up. It will not boot, it turns on but will not boot. Fans turns at high speed. Tried everything that I am capable of doing up until I have decided to open it.

I have found two capacitors that were bulging, they were the 1800uF, 6.3 volt variety. I am good in soldering so i decided that I will replace it.

There is one catch, I am in a remote place in Asia and the only available cap that I can find is 2200uF, 6.3 volts and 1500uF, 6.3 volts. Will both caps work if I replace it to the bulging caps?

If both will work, which one is better? I am a tech, but I am not an electronics expert, but I can solder very well.

Thanks google... reference found.

To replace 1800 6.3v you can safely use both if they're 10 mm ones. No difference. Thicker won't fit. Guy from badcaps.net uses 1200uf instead of 1500uf in his kits for iMac without issues.
Check if temperature rating does match between original and replacement ones. It could be more but not less than original. Consider replacing all of them, most likely they will fail sooner or later.

If this is the case, I am leaning towards the 2200uF. Six, can you please forward me the link about this article? I have visited the site but it seems that I can not find the article you have stated.
