iTunes Match - Re-activation = Re-upload?

Hi,

I used to have iTunes Match, i didn't renew my subscription.

I am now without my computer, meaning, I'm without iTunes.

My question is... If I sign back up to iTunes Match, will it use the library I used to have 4months ago? Or will it require me to upload my iTunes and Match again??

That is a tough call. I think I saw somewhere that said 30 days was the retention limit. But I could be misremembering that.

Apple explicitly says it will no longer be available and my guess is that after 4 months, it's probably gone.

However, that's all guess work and I could find anything on Apple's support site to indicate when they actually purge your data. Although I would have to think they want to wait at least 30 days to allow for renewal billing issues to be taken care of.

You could try asking Apple.

Well, they never got back too me... So I gambled and it paid off... My whole old iTunes Match was still waiting for me :-)
