Slow to recharge

Hey guys. I just bought a refurbished iPad 3 and it seems to be recharging very slow. In 2 hours, it has recharged 10%. That strikes me as very slow.

I'll qualify this by saying I'm using an extension USB cable but I can't recall ever seeing a situation where using an extension USB caused something to recharge slow.

So, what do you all think?

What is the device being charged with? My iPad 3 takes quite some time to charge and that's even with the 10w Power Adapter. You may look into purchasing Apple's 12w Power Adapter to achieve fast charge times.

Seems about right. Mine takes about 7-8 hours to charge when completely dead to full battery.

Forgot about this post...

Turns out I had it plugged into the computer. BB said not to do it that way, use the power adapter. So it's undiluted AC all the way now.
