How to remove file stuck in toolbar?

Hi there,

I was moving a file from my desktop today to a folder in Finder, I accidentally dropped it into the window/toolbar next to the search function. I can't remove it now. The file is there whenever I click on my finder. Anybody know how to remove the file?

Did you try either dragging it out or right click, delete?

Hold down your command key while dragging
