Looks like you can now add a picture or video like this. Never been able to do this while sending an email

I hadn't seen that before, either. I always use e-mail in portrait mode and I never cared enough to see what the arrow to the right was all about. To paste photos I copied them to the "clipboard" or shared them from the camera roll (like an animal).
