iMessage group chat. Am I right?

Hi am I right in thinking that if I create a group iMessage chat on my iPhone that if I buy an iPad mini I will see the group I created in my message app? If so when someone sends me an iMessage will it appear ion both?

I'm anti-group chat and haven't tried what you describe, but I believe it is possible and should work the way you expect.

I assume as long as both people you're chatting to are also using Messages, the group chat should appear on all of your devices.

I'm not 100% sure about this, as I only have an iPhone and a rMPB, but when I have a group chat on my iPhone, it does not appear in Messages on my macbook which I attribute to the fact that one person has an iPhone and the other doesn't.

Yes Group chats appear on multiple devices.

Group Messages show up on my iPad, iPhone, MBP, iMac.
