Windows won't fill the whole screen when dock is hidden
This may seem like a completely unimportant thing, but it still annoys me.
I run Lion, and I want my dock hidden so that my screen is uncluttered and free. But, when I do that, the windows that I want to fill the whole screen won't go all the way out in the direction my dock is located. This leaves just a tiny little bit of my desktop visible. You can see it on this picture:
In this case, my dock is to the right, and will appear when I hover my mouse over that area. But it annoys me that I have that I have to look at that little snip of desktop. It is, quiet frankly, a little distracting.
Any way to do so that my windows will just fill the whole screen?
Thanks in advance.
(You must all think I am crazy by now)

Apple changed that in Tiger. In Tiger and below, the window was able to completely cover the screen. In Leopard and newer, the last few pixels just above the hidden dock cannot be used.
