Doesn't work in the UK.

Studio's fault of course, but bad business development work with Apple to partner with US only spots to show off the new feature.

Yep. How *dare* someone show off a new feature during a big, US-centric, sporting event without having a version of the app for every country in the world! Seriously, people. It was a Super Bowl commercial. Did you expect it to be an add for a corner deli in Istanbul?

Apples view of the world seems to follow the USAs sporting view of the world, i.e the world series, is USA only, not the actual, you know, WORLD.

We in the United States know there is another country besides the United States, therefore we include the other country in the world, Canada, in the 'World Series'.

Sheesh! And you thought the United States didn't have a world view. :D

By the way, the Baltimore Ravens won the 'World Championship' in football last night. Take that, Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid, etc. etc. who didn't even make the championship game.

This is a pretty good idea considering searching for an apps full name in the app store will not always return that app as the first result. Good thinking Apple!

It's the trailer on the front page of Apple's UK trailer site, including that URL.

So yes, it was stupid.

USA-Light, AKA Canada doesn't count ;)

Also the Ravens won "Rugby for Big-girls blouses that need body armor to play", not FOOTBALL,

Ok, I'll agree that putting that trailer on the front page of the Apple UK trailer site is stupid if it doesn't resolve from a UK IP address, but the *article* was discussing "Vanity URLs for AppStore.com Debut in Super Bowl Commercial".

Definitely good news for developers. Your app could be discovered easily with this implementation of Vanity URLs in the app store.
