I installed Winterboard and now my phone is stuck on the Apple logo. :/

Hold down the power button and home button until the phone reboots and let go.

With the amount of strain on cydia servers at the moment its obvious issues will be apparent.

It's nagging me and giving me errors saying "it might be a paid app" etc.

Where is the best place to go to get an explanation of what all of these "apps" do for the jailbreak?

This is my first iPhone (5) and I'm debating doing the jailbreak, but once I follow the instructions that I've looked up on here and on CNET.com I don't really know what to do from there and which of these "apps" I should use.

Would the link in the OP work the best? It won't open at the moment.
