Expand the size of internal HD?
Heres my situation, my new iMac comes this week and i have the 3tb internal fusion drive. i have massive media library which is a good chance will be over 3 tb. I have a few lacie usb 3.0 hard drives and 1 thunderbolt hard drive. Is it possible to connect one of these to a port on the computer and have the entire library for say iTunes become one? i wasn't sure if there was a formatting technique to accomplish this.
Thanks |

Not with the current file system (Mac OS Extended - HFS+), but you can let iTunes use several volumes or HDDs to have its data stored on (one or two HDDs for movies, one HDD for music, for example). The USB 3.0 HDDs should more than suffice for that.
Just make sure to turn off iTunes > Preferences > Advanced > Copy music ....
