Best refurbished iMac I can buy for less than $1000?

I believe that you've answered your own question.

You may find a better price on better specs via an online forum, but then, it is a better price because you would not be dealing with Apple and their warranty.

Seriously go for it. It is a great machine for that price. You can buy 8gb of ram from amazon for $40 and you're all set to go.
