What's hot section: What's the criteria?

I noticed that my app is in the what's hot section of the app store.

How do you get in to that section?

Do apps just automatically got there if they're new longer eligible for the what's new section?

I've found it difficult to get a clear explanation on this.

Thanks

Apple decides what apps are in this section. Their logic is something of a black box, I believe. You might want to try contacting them to see if they'd be willing to shine a light down in there.

Explanation: Have your app chosen by some unknown person in Apple's marketing or Developer Relations department. Helps to be famous or to win an Apple Design award.
