Digital 5.1 output for Logic on a MBP

I am in need of something that can cary a digital output from my laptop to the receiver. The receiver does not have 6 analog inputs. My only options for 5.1 are: optical, coax, and HDMI.

I really do not need anything fancy (translation: expensive). I have been trying to do some research on this and people keep saying "just use the optical out from the headphone jack!" but that doesn't transmit more than 2 channels. I am a little stuck and am just wondering what is out there. I mean Logic had 5.1 in it and is for macs, so there has to be a way!
