what mic j said .. plus the Evasi0n jailbreak doesn't work on the atv3.

out of curiosity, why do you want to jailbreak?

Because a friend of mine as a atv2 & as all sorts on it.

do you have a laptop? it would be easier to just install xbmc / plex whatever else and hook it up to your tv.
