Radio Stream on Apple TV

I have a radio Stream that I can play in iTunes no problem. (Downloaded the .pls file, added to iTunes).

I put the stream in a playlist which I can access from the AppleTV (3rd gen, 5.2) and the playlist says it has 1 item on the AppleTV, but when I open the playlist, the AppleTV says "There are no songs in the Library".

Currently I am sending audio from my Mac to the AppleTV but ideally want the stream on the AppleTV itself.

Anyone know how to get this working?
