Want to share a new cool app or live wallpaper you've discovered? Share it here!

I saw this postedon Google+ and must say, it looks great when my Android hardware is docked in my Fidelio speaker.

Audioglow - FREE
Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cyphercove.audioglowfs
Audioglow is a great music visualiser that you can run whilst playing music on your Android devices.

I've been using it with the Google Music player with no issue. Whilst the visualiser is up, you can tap the screen for music controls which will enable you go to your music player, skip tracks, play/pause and change settings.

There are lots of predefined themes to choose from or you can set up your own custom themes. The app displays the current artist and song playing, scrolling along the top of the screen in opposite directions.

Audioglow Live Wallpaper - Paid (62p at time of writing)
Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cyphercove.audioglow
Same as above, but this time as a live wallpaper. Costs a little bit of money but if you like to support developers, it's worth a purchase!

A nice live wallpaper that interacts with your music!

I read about Utter! on this forum. It's like Siri or Google Now times 100. Look it up on the play store and watch the video.

Just ran across an app called MightyText. Gives you the ability to text from your computer or tablet and all messages sync with your phone. As long as your phone is on, no matter where it is, if you forget it at home, etc, you can still send and receive text messages. This will be great for me at work, won't have to pick up my phone to text.

Falcon Pro (for Twitter) is the best Twitter app I've used on Android. Makes me miss Tweebot a lot less.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5qdi5mYWxjb24ucHJvIl0.

I can't +1 this enough. I love Tweetbot, so switching to Android was rough until I found Flacon Pro thanks to you guys recommending it on here not too long ago.

So, is this a new SMS client like KIK or Whatsapp? Or does this actually use your phone's Messaging app and send actual SMS messages?

This actually uses your phones messaging app. It's not a third party app like whatsapp. It sends SMS messages and it does count towards your text plan.

Something a little better is TabletTalk which allows you to answer your phone from the tablet plus send texts.

Looks good but you have to be paired with the device and can't text from a computer. Your phone doesn't even have to be with you and you can text from any computer with MightyText. Great for school or work where you can't pull out your phone to text.

Sweet, thanks for the info. With this I wouldn't have to rely on my friends to download some messaging app to use it.

For anyone using their Android phone or tablet in conjunction with a Sonus multi room music system, the free app has just got a whole load better, they have also added widgets. It is also available on iOS devices without the widgets but nevertheless, still superb.

I have discovered Mighty Text through this forum, and it works as advertised. Missing iMessage through iChat on the computer was iOS' last hold on me, and with this, I can get and reply to texts while I'm at work or sitting around using my tablet. It works as advertised!

Car Home Ultra - Best in car dash app

Inverted GAPPS - for those that are flash-a-holics

Falcon Pro - Best twitter app

XScope Pro web browser - For those that still want to use Flash

Tasks - a to do list app that is integrated into Google, so any time you add something to your 'to do' list, it auto-updates across all your devices instantly.

DashClock widget is one that I have recently run into that I find useful. It is a lockscreen widget that summarizes Gmail, missed calls, texts, calendar appointments and weather on the lock screen.

Any good weather widgets besides beautiful weather? Looking for a change.

Notification Weather Pro - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orbar.NotificationWeatherPro

Give you a temperature or small image of your current conditions in the status bar, but when you pull your notification center down, you get current and full day hi/low, plus 4 day forecast. I like it, because the majority of the widget stays out of the way and only gives you full details when you open your NC. Nice clean look. Here is mine on my Nex7.

For quick reply text messaging with the stock messaging app.

SMS Popup - Free

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.everythingandroid.smspopup&hl=en

(Unfortunately, I'm having issues with the notifications/badge not clearing after dismissing a popup or quick replying to a message. Apparently, it's an issue with Samsung and Motorola phones, not positive)

As an alternative for .99 cents

Glowfly worked perfectly. Quick reply to text messages from lock screen/home screen. Everything syncs up nicely, badges and notifications clear correctly. You can view MMS messages from quick reply pop up and even use Google Voice text with this app.
