Google reader/RSS sync problems

I have been having a very strange bug while syncing my Google Reader account on Reeder and Newsify for the iPhone. I have been getting duplicate and old (up to 3 weeks) articles. When I mark all as read and re-sync I get the same articles with new ones again. I though at first that it was a Reeder app problem but started using Newsify and got the same thing.

Anyone else having this problem?

Yeah, I've been having similar problems the last few days while using Feedler. So it sounds like it's a Google Reader issue, not the apps.

It's becoming very annoying. This morning I had 700+ articles "unread"
