Could have been one of the two officers shot. There are reports one has died.

Sounds like he burned the cabin down while escaping. Too early to say.

He set off a smokebomb while the swat team was going in. Now nobody knows what's going on

Edit :

Scanner just now: "Burners deployed and we have a fire."
Suspect tried to leave out the back but was pushed back inside.
Cops set the cabin on fire.

It's sounding like the end will be as everyone has been predicted, he'll be dead before they take him in. So I'm guessing the cops got what they wanted, his blood.

This country has rules of law. Regardless of his evil deeds he has a right to a trial. Not a witch burning.

If he's shooting at the police what are they supposed to do? Ask nicely for him to come out with his hands up? No, obviously they are going to shoot back. Criminals get killed all the time in gunfights and nobody comes on here screaming about innocent until proven guilty. Burning at the stake is so 1600's.

He was surrounded by heavily armed police and the area had been evacuated. what could he do ?

Okay? So dictating what I say, that's classy, but I've lost a parent, so I'll respect it.

Also, AP's reporting that he died from a self inflicted GSW. Kinda kills the whole evil cops murdered him argument. Lastly, he murdered a deputy and wounded another, so lethal force was completely within the rights of the officers.

And, don't go on about how cops are evil, it reminds me of my mother's second husband who sexually assaulted me as a little girl.

I think your expectations are a bit unrealistic.

They may not be incompetent just because it took a long time to find him, but shooting up two innocent women in a vehicle that doesn't even match the description is pretty incompetent in my opinion.

Cops have had people die from "self-inflicted" gunshot wounds in the back of cop cars sure this guy wasn't great, but I don't think there's much denying that the LAPD had no interest whatsoever in bringing him in alive. If he'd surrendered he'd likely have been murdered by the cops taking him in.
