Does it bother you?

I bothers me a lot. I really have put in a lot of thought before I pulled the trigger on the iphone5. I spent roughly a month thinking about it and my second choice was the nexus4. In the end I felt that the resale value of the iphone was worth it in cause I want to sell in within 6 months. Or if I decide to keep it that LTE, better camera, better battery life, nicer design, better performance, jailbreak was worth it over the bigger display of the nexus4. I couldn't have gone for any other device cause I simply don't like plastic and that is something I just don't want to compromise on.

As you can see I had a lot of sleepless nights and then to see everyone and their mother with an iphone really offends me. I felt I made the right choice but for all the other regular consumers I feel that a cheaper android device is a better choice

I don't get bothered by others' choices. Surely there is enough going on in your life to not worry about how everyone else lives.

Why do you care? It just means it's a big ecosystem with a lot of attention from consumers and in turn developers.

None of the reason you listed are affected by someone else having an iPhone.

It's a phone. Not a social status.

Other people having the same phone you do bothers you? Do you get offended when you're at a restaurant and someone orders the same meal as you? Or when you see someone driving the same kind of car you have? Seriously, let it go. You got the phone that you thing was best for you. Why do you care about what other people have?

Other people having an iPhone doesn't offend me. Your "I'm better than you so I deserve to have this and you don't" attitude is what's really offensive.

No makes owning an iPhone that much better because there's more people to talk to via FaceTime/iMessage and there's more people to play with via gamecenter. It's a win win.

IT really annoys me that other people own pants. I was at macys for a toal of 50 hours over the last week looking at pants and trying to decide what would be best for me. Finally decide on a pair of black slacks, walk out of the store and there's some smug mother ****er wearing the EXACT SAME ONES. The more people that have iPhones, the more texting I can do with iMessage from my Mac. I tell everyone I know to buy an iPhone wether or not I think it's the right choice for them or not, just so I don't have to pull my phone out to text them.

I see the proliferation of iPhones as a strength. With a few exceptions, most quality applications hit iOS first and then Android sometime later. Windows phones and the new BB10 devices will have to wait a year or more for some of the anchor apps you take for granted now.

In any case, there will be many new smartphones announced/released toward the end of this month. You could always sell your iPhone if you really want something different--especially if you are losing sleep over it!
