Oh, good. I'm not the guinea pig for once, thank you!

And Spigen is made in Korea, so perhaps it'll be made at the same factory or at least with the same tooling (you know how that goes sometimes)...?

----------

BTW did you notice it has a credit card slot inside the front cover, too?

That's the only way I would consider it, being a wallet case kind of user after all.

Glad to hear - because I ordered one too! Nyuk nyuk! Actually I already have the silver Spigen version (card slot pretty useless, lip starts permanently curling back once I put a card in and took it out later) but black is just cooler.

And elusive...

This looks really nice compared to the flood of flip cases on ebay. Neat packaging too. Waiting for actual photos. :)

They just sent me my tracking number so hopefully it'll get here by the end of the week. For $8.99 it's not a bad deal especially if it's made in Korea

Wow, I posted in my last message above on the 16th, that I would order one of these too (yes I am the OP but thought I'd share first), and then when I went there just now they were sold out.

Not just Sold Out, but the count showed at least NEGATIVE ONE (-1) on every color for every iPhone! Being that they had these folder cases for both the iPhone 4 and 5, and there are (or were) four different colors, and there were ten of each in stock, this means 80 (EIGHTY) cases were sold in a couple of days! I swear all were available when I first found this ad and posted it here...we must got a lotta lurkers here on iPhone Accessories...

The power of the internet, I tell ya. Next time I'm gonna order first before I say anything!

I actually liked the design of this so much I had to go and find if any other sellers sold the product on ebay. I did manage to find one of comparable price, but s/he ships out of South Korea. I am weary of buying things on ebay internationally, but at $12.40 (which includes added tracking) you're not really losing anything if it's a POS.

Unfortunately I agree w/you regarding international shipping. I will just save the seller and check them periodically, since they were accepting negative one (-1) orders it likely means they are backordering more anyway.

And thanks for that info.

The last episode of Miami Vice aired on January 25th, 1990. They don't wear shoulder pads and mustaches in Asia, do they? There must be some explanation to why that Pink and Mint thing is still going on over there.

Haw! Very Don Johnson-esque. And yet if the numbers are accurate there are at least 22 orders for them!

Wanting to know if those who ordered liked the case. I looked today and the seller is still out. Looked for another seller but no luck for me.

Just got the case this evening from Korea; it's cute! I totally got Miami Vice "mint" (I do happen to be asian and love pastels). I think it's a pretty nice case for 9 dollars. The cuts for the ear piece, speakers, and buttons are precise and the case fits like a charm. I don't drop my phone so I can't tell you how durable it is though. :) If the faux leather starts to crack / tear I'll inform you guys.

Sorry for the low res, I had to take the photos of my phone using my MBA.

THANK you so very kindly!

You know what really bugs me about this whole thing? It's that after I first see this on ebay, I come and post about it here, which turned out to be too soon! Because when I went back (a day later) to actually click on the Buy-It-Now button to order one, they were all sold out. Yikes! And now seeing your pictures I realize the card slot is actually angled in a shallow "V" shape, which makes card insertion a bit easier, also the gray interior of the cover has a very nicely microfiber-textured surface, which will not only protect the phone screen but polish it/keep it clean! There are subtle even-better features to this case that were not initially revealed on the ebay ad...Awww, the agony!!!

DANG...:confused::mad::rolleyes::(

(but thanks again for the pictures, and please let us know how well/easily credit cards fit in the slot, as well as how many cards you think it might eventually accept after it breaks in a bit)

So only one card fits (snugly) brand new. Putting in the card is easy but you need to use your nail to lift up before pulling If you slid your card in all the way, so I'd suggest putting it in halfway if you have pudgy fingers/no nails so it'll be easier to remove.

I did intend to show how it looks with a white iPhone but I'm actually having a difficult time removing the case without fear of scratching my phone's finish.

One thing to complain about right now, despite it being faux leather (presumably plastic) the finish stains easily. I was eating a hash brown this morning and accidentally bumped it against the case so there's a slight grease stain on my case. In sure it'll be unnoticeable with black.

Ok, spoke too soon. To remove the case, press against the corners with thumb knuckles with force while grasping back to remove case. A corner should pop out and from there you can gently pry the phone out. Definitely more difficult than some other cases because this case has a raised lip but no scratches. And the mint looks phenomenal with the white phone (wish I got the white phone now luls).

Yes I found that with many card holding cases I had to put in one card, wait a bit, force in another, etc. Would be good to have a notch cut into the BOTTOM of the card area to help push the card up.

Since I don't have nice slender fingers like you, heh heh...

I saw your second post below and yeah, I try to just get one corner up then I use the thin nylon/plastic handle of a small letter opener I have to kinda slide along the edge and then the case just pops off.

Formula 409? I dunno how easy it is getting grease off matte textured surfaces, which are really made up of microscopic ridges and valleys anyway.

So it has a raised lip/edge around the screen? That would be a good thing, right? A Spigen Ultra Flip that I have only comes up flush to the screen - although I guess that's why the flap is there - yet I do absent-mindedly sometimes put my phone face down with the Ultra Flip's flap still folded behind the phone!

Huh? I already see a white phone in the pics...? Unless that's a white skin application of some sort on the top and bottom?

BTW there is hint of red along the bottom edge of the phone. What is that anyway?

I actually have no idea, it's not the phone or the case. The case is all the same color except for the "do not remove" sticker which cannot be seen with phone in. The only red in my case is actually when you pry the credit card slot.

And the white phone is not mine, my SO has the white phone and I popped it in to see what it would look like. He's had it for a week and already scratched up the bevel because he pockets the phone with keys. The only reason why I like the white phone are the bare aluminum edges. (when they're not keyed)

That's funny - in our case it is my SO that got the white iPhone, and I the black. Although in my last Apple cell I got the white iPhone 4 but had the camera flash bounce back issues with photos, so I exchanged it for the next white version w/improvements. However there is absolutely No comparison between the data speeds of the 4, 4S and my new 5. AT&T seems to have very suddenly built up some seriously massive 4G LTE cellular infrastructure here in Vegas (been wondering when we'd see all those exorbitant service bills being put to good use) and I am actually outracing my HOME wifi system at SpeedTest.net as the iPh5 LTE performance is simply brilliant. Being on the grandfathered unlimited plan does not hurt either, although in the past I have had ominous texts from AT&T declaring I was soon to be put out of my misery down to throttled data speeds for a while, until I reached the next billing cycle. So I always try to turn the wifi search feature back on when reaching home.
So these new AT&T LTE towers must have been understandably built nearer to the denser parts of the city (down town, near casinos, tourist areas, etc.) as my own suburb is quite a way out, near Lake Las Vegas and at home sometimes the service is not quite as fast, and we even swear there seems to be a slightly greater incidence of dropped calls than when closer in to town.

So what "Do Not Remove" sticker are you talking about? Is it on the phone itself, or on the cover?

And by the way which hint is the hidden cat?

The slightly furry wisps of beige-ish hair peeking from the bottom edge of your thumb, or the obvious appendages from the (real or plush) cat to the right of and behind the phone flip cover?:p ;) :D (last emoticon gives away my own asian ethnicity, though definitely do not have the geek teeth)...!
