How to choose a wireless extender?

It seems that netgear device has mixed reviews on the us site.

I use Airport Extreme. Pricy but just works.

And the best thing of having your own wifi station is that if you change services or move, you don't have to change password on your own devices.

I have used an Edimax EW-7416 in several people houses to do this from a BT-HomeHub. Works very well - just set it up (with an Ethernet cable first) then disconnect the cable and move it to a place half-way between your BT-HH and the weakest place in your house you want to cover.

Works well, cheap and powerful, but can be tricky to setup, although there is a Windows wizard.

Quite possibly. I guess if your sister-on-law has one and it's doing exactly what you need it for then go for it.

I highly recommend the Diamond Multimedia 300Mbps 802.11n Wireless Range Extender. I bought one last year and found it works well.
