In line with a report from last week, Apple has just released iOS 6.1.2. According to Apple, the update addresses a Microsoft Exchange bug but sources had indicated that it also addresses a lock screen passcode issue.

Fixes and Exchange calendar bug that could result in increased network activity and reduced battery life.
The update arrives as Build 10B146 for most devices, with the exception of cellular-capable iPad mini and fourth-generation iPad models that are receiving Build 10B147.

Update: Users are reporting that the update does not in fact fix the passcode bug.

I just wonder why we can't get these updates OTA cellular? Why only with a wifi? Or am I missing a setting somewhere. I've got unlimited LTE. 12MB update won't break me...

Evasi0n

Any word on if it still works with the evasi0n jailbreak?

I had to accept a restore for my JB'n iPhone 4S 16GB. I'm restoring from a backup as I type. I'll let you know what happens to the Evasi0n.

As a side note, I've long experienced a large "Other" space of about 3.5 GB..when I restored, i did so as new...just to see...started as a new iPhone it has an "Other" space of about 0.5 GB. Now, I'm restoring to from backup...like I said. Naturally all my Other space should be back, but we'll see about evasion.

Updating an iPad (3) via iTunes on an iMac. Download to take 16 minutes?! It is on a good broadband network. Must be all you peeps slamming the Apple servers.
