I placed my order for my first mac ever on February 6th.

27" iMac
•2.9GHz Quad-core Intel Core i5
•8GB Ram (upgrade to 24GB upon arrival)
•1TB Fusion Drive
•GTX 660M 512MB GDDR5
•Magic Trackpad
•Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad (English) & User's Guide (had to have the number pad)

As of today, delivery shows:

Delivers Mar 6 - Mar 13 via Standard Shipping

No change so far. I have been checking at least 2 times a day. My 16GB of memory from Crucial came in as well as my refurbished Airport Extreme. Everything is just sitting here waiting on the iMac.

ARRRGGGGHHH! The wait is killing me! :) I am growing more and more dissatisfied with my Windows 7 PC every day!

No change in my order status either. The first person who claimed to order in February (Feb. 1) on the spreadsheet went into Preparing today. He's in the row right next to me on the spreadsheet. There are several people between the "pack" of those preparing/ shipped and this person, but hey it got me excited.

I to have Crucial RAM (32gb) waiting and I'm really thinking about Harmon Kardon Sound Sticks for a simple speaker upgrade. I will also run an external line to my stereo system for more noise if needed. The Sound Sticks lll just look so cool with the iMac.

Second order from Feb.1 just went processing on spreadsheet. This one destined for US. That means the time frames are holding pretty true, even early for some.

So just an update -- I cancelled my order with B&h for a few reasons -- just came aware of their No Return / Exchange policy -- I know that's what Apple Care is for but I don't want to end up in that worst case scenario where they stick me with a Refurb -- would rather have a clean return and receive a new system path.

Another reason is chances are Resellers are getting it later than actual Apple.com orders so went with my gut on this one and reordered with Apple.com -- used the educational discount.

I only ordered about 6 days ago from B&H so not much time lost -- the only caveat is that I ended up paying about $10 more and didn't get the parellels software bundle for free. I can get it on the side for $50 later on -- the extra little bit of $$$ is worth the comfort of knowing I can return my iMac if any defects should show up.

So I keep playing the waiting game....

(Updating the spreadsheet now)

I have a question. Since I ordered my iMac on Feb 6 and was charged for the auto enroll Apple Care on the same date, does my 3 year protection start on Feb 6, or when I receive the iMac?

This usually wouldn't be much of a worry, but since we are waiting up to a month to get the iMac, it could shorten my coverage by a month.

I ordered mine today, delivery is today. It will reach me tomorrow due to the courier from one city to another. In India most apple products are available ex-stock.
