I have purchased a new iphone 5 (currently locked on a uk network. It is not yet possible to request an official imei unlock from this network)

Once I jailbreak (using evasion), is it possible to unlock the iphone?

I recall being able to do so shortly after the iphone 4 was released in 2010

Tried googling, but could not find any info

Nope Ultrasn0w last supported the iP4 and only one rare baseband your best bet is a gevey sim or finding a website that performs the unlock
