Messages is remembering old, deleted contacts

My sister, let's call her Lisa, has gone through 3 different phone numbers. Her current one is the ONLY one saved under her contact info, and there are no duplicate contacts.

However, everytime I open a new text message and type in the letter 'L', I see the two previous contacts that used to exist for each of the other phone numbers she used to have.

I've tried everything to get rid of them from appearing, but they won't go away! Please let me know how to fix it, if you know, thanks!

Restore your phone and setup as new. Then write in your contacts. It seems to be a data issue.
