iPhone stopped working (Help!)

so my iphone 4s just suddenly stopped working...i didn't drop it or damage it in anyway. i got home from dinner and the screen was black. i waited a few minutes to see if maybe i had just accidentally put too many commands in but it was still a black screen. i tried plugging it in thinking it might have died..still nothing...it wont bring up any kind of screen no matter how long i leave it alone...is there anyone that can help me??

have you plugged it into a PC?

Try holding the home button and the top button down, both at the same time, for about ten seconds.

Maybe its stuck in DFU mode. try tinyumbrella and use to kick it out of DFU mode.
