Buy the chrome book from best buy,use it for a few days and you will have your answer. Otherwise return it within 30 days.
I personally would not trade my 15 rMBP for anything.
My wife going out of town took my rMBP and I was using her 13 Air.
Boy was I happy when she was back.

If you don't need a workhorse laptop, I think you can't go worst than the Pixel- it's a beautiful machine. Macbook has always been a working machine- the fact that it has a nice form factor is just a byproduct of Apple's view on design. The Chrome Pixel's raison d'être is to be desirable and to make consumers notice Chrome OS. The fact that some people want it proves that it's a good move on Google's part.

A couple of photos I found on the web- it doesn't mean much other than some people at Google as they have in the past (and maybe in the future as well although the days are probably numbered) are still using MBA and MBP as their working laptop:

However, yea this pic may be a tiny bit dated because he's probably rolling with a Pixel these days. As for me I'm cool with saying I like Google and roll with both Apple and Google, yup...My personal line is tied to a nexus 4!

But I still wont be buying a Pixel for $1,300...lol
