Estimates are never accurate.
I live in NY.
The website says 5-7 days shipping. Accurate?
Thanks much!
I ordered a 27 bto on the 14th. Was quoted a order process time of 5-7 business days and shipping of 2-3 business days with express shipping making the arrival 3/25-3/27. I got an email shipping notification 3/16/13 at 8:47 pm my order was shipped and will arrive on 3/20 via fed ex. I'm pleased.
Exact same for me. Ordered 14th, it moved to "preparing" the 16th. But it's still "preparing". No shipment notification yet. WTH???
P.S. Where was your's shipped from? HK? Sacramento?
I wish it wasn't and actually got here earlier. LOL
The delivery was set for the week of February 10-19. It arrived in the morning of the 11th.

Interesting - I ordered a 27 bto on the 14th also. Still (3/18 9AM EDT) processing. My changes from the default:
3.4 Ghz I7I'm guessing the 3.4 Ghz I7 is the delay (compared to yours). Hopefully shipping soon.
3TB fusion
680MX
Our only difference is I ordered the 3tb HDD.
I didn't realize the 3TB fusions were in short supply? When I built mine, the delivery time changed with the upgraded processor. Unless your faster shipping lead to a faster build time?
When I built and checked the expected dates express pulled back shipping from 3/29/13 to 3/25/13.

What? He said February...
3/19/13 San Jose was pickup, but it says Fremont as well... She's in Memphis Tenn.. I did pay for express shipping. It was an extra thirty but I got employee pricing through work and added a 3tb HDD and still came in under full retail. I'm very pleased.
Oops, I totally quoted the wrong post. It should have been:
Yeah sorry. Pickup was 3/16/13.
Thanks, that's what I sorta figured.
Interesting how changes in the BTO impact the delivery and the point of origin. Apparently iMacs with SSD drives are assembled and ship from China.
It's all academic, as in the end we all eventually get our machines. I get really interested in the flow of production, -especially- when I have the item on order.
Agree totally. Was wondering what the criteria was for a USA built machine. It appears the oldest technology BTO is built stateside.
Mine too! A day earlier than FedEx promised! That makes a start/finish time of five days.
Are there any sweeter words in the english language than "On FedEx vehicle for delivery?"
