Just been looking for a plist and notice that I have multiple copies of some. For example, I have 18 for com.apple.iApps.plist, 65 for com.apple.iTunes.plist and 105 for com.apple.quicktime.plist.

The copies have .1HjHym5 or similar on the end.

Anyone any ideas as why I have these extras?

It is a bug in the way plist files are saved. You can read about it here.

You can delete all the ones with the gibberish endings.

Thanks for that. I was happy deleting the copies. Just wondered where they came from, so the link was interesting.
