I did a quick test while waiting for dinner last night. Not bad at all!

Those are good results. You have me beat by a little. I find LTE to be very fast in my area.

I just ran a test:

My highest in San Diego is 60.46Mbps down and 20.81Mbps up. I normally average around 30 down and 15 up though.

AT&T speeds in NYC have declined significantly since the iPhone 5 was introduced. I assume that's because of more people on the network.

I still get an average about about 16Mps down and 7Mps up which is fine. My only complaint is that around lunchtime and just after work the LTE basically stops working in my area of the city.

Not a Big Fan of the new Speed Test App, I think the older view looked better

I wish we had constant LTE in the area of NJ I am in, it is good North or South of me, but not where I live and work in Central NJ

Speeds in NYC have been stedily decreasing. By December they'll be almost as bad as 3G. Unless ATT adds capacity

Fastest I've gotten in Jefferson City is 25 down and 7 up. But it was just rolled out on Monday, so I can cut them some slack, I'm sure they are working on fixing it.

It's the same for VZW also. Both carriers have been adding sites to the NYC market all the time. They've also gone on record to say that they will deploy LTE on their AWS bands to supplement stress on the 700 band. Both carriers will be adding thousands of macro and small cell sites all over the city to help also.

I've heard that AT&T speeds are terrible in NYC... not sure how true that is, probably depends on what part of NYC you live in??

If you've got an LTE device they are generally very good--except sometimes at rush hour when many people leave work and get on their devices. I believe it certainly has to do with the part of NYC you are in. There are more residential areas where there is little or no speed hit.

I used to get 50 or 60Mbps down with my LTE iPad prior to the iPhone 5 launch. Those speeds are long gone.

If the carriers don't improve the speed where its needed, people are going to be hesitant to pay for it.
