to ask...

Is it possible to "look into" two files that have the same extension and see what's different? These are two .dng files. The first one is a standard stillcamera dng file that has an embedded jpg preview in it. The other is a cinema dng file that doesn't have an embedded jpg preview.

The software I intend to use opens both files, but with the stillcamera dng, it insists on using the embedded jpg file, which is not what I want.

Could there be some way of changing the header/deleting that jpg preview file?

Thanks!
