Unbelievable - never thought I'd see such a sight for real:
The entire thing was on autopilot for both planes. The EK switched off its transponder so the TCAS wouldn't go crazy. I think the best word for this was "Seismic"! (which was the call sign).

Unfortunately the weather was terrible. The North Sydney side was very far away, so Circular Quay was much closer - but the backlight was bad. I'm trying to put online a better image - but my internet has gone slow.

Taking the dog for a walk at Silver Sands Beach, South Australia. The little white Toyota has the dogs owner driving down the beach with the dog running along side. I don't know why people think Aussies are lazy...

Well-seen shot, though I can also see it as a vertical shot, tightly cropped, with that lovely gradation from dark to light...
Scout Scar, near Kendal. The last day of March and there's no 'new' colour in the lakeland landscape. Light very bright, though...
I think I would prefer this without the person in it - the branches of the trees, the rocks, and the sky are all powerful enough. That bright red jacket just detracts attention away from these aspects IMHO.

I see this quite frequently in Montana, it drives me nuts.

Also to side track a little, your username always confused me as Avro and 707 I didn't think normally went together - well until I read this the other day http://www.airforce.gov.au/raafmuseum/exhibitions/b_scenes/avro.htm

I'd always wondered what avro707 stood for, I thought it was something to do with aeronautics. Now I know. Thanks Kebabselector.
Full marks to you. But also I happen to love the Boeing 707 as well. It's one of my favourite planes. I've been fortunate to be around real, live, working B707s (close up to them as well) and the sound of JT3Ds running is just like a drug.
Those older planes, Vulcan, Concorde, B707, those have real presence.

I remember the 707s flying into my local Airport, noisy but a classic aircraft (probably not as noisy as the old BAC 1-11). Recently the last remaining (flying) Vulcan did a fly over. Still I guess I'm fortunate to have 3 Vulcans close by as museum exhibits. We do get regular VC-10 visits from the RAF (sadly bringing injured troops home from Iraq/Afghanistan)
