iPhone 3G 4.2.1 dg to 3.1.3 BB 6.15 can i... ?

Well I know that I can downgrade iOS and BB with no problem. But my concern is whether or not my Notes, Calendar, Contacts and Messages can be backed up and then restored once I am on 3.1.3?
 
All those items (except your messages/SMS) can be manually restored using the tabs in iTunes...

I have never tried to use the individual tabs for restore to a lower firmware.

As TriJetHero states, you cannot do a full restore to older firmware.
