I bought one of these speakers from catchoftheday.com.au when they were on special a few weeks ago.
Setup was a fairly simple thing that you use safari to do, the AirPlay is a very solid method to play from anywhere on the local network. The sound the speaker puts out is outstanding, heaps of volume and I have not heard any distortion. The only connection to the speaker is the one for power. I have got it working with iPad 3, MacBook Air 1, MacBook Air 2 and iPhone 5.
Setup is a 2wire modem/router to a time capsule for backups and wifi distribution, it works very well.
I would recommend this speaker, its good
